Really good for anyone that wants to read the second book but read the first book ages ago.
It was nice to see Garnet's side of things.

The last novella out for the series.

It was a good read. Enjoyed it a lot more than "Sil's Story".
Always nice to see a bit of background in some of the characters. Hoping Garnet features a bit of a bigger role in the final book "The Black Key".

I feel like I'm seeing a sparrow in a cage, something young and innocent trapped by grasping hands.
And I think that perhaps my own cage is simply larger than hers, so large I have never been fully aware of its edges.

The first book in the eyes of Garnet.

I am not really a fan of short stories but this story I found difficult to put down. It helps make sense of why Violet heard Garnets voice at the end of the first book. It also helps you understand Garnet alot more instead of just the drunken son. Definitely should be read after the first book xxx

I feel bad for anyone reading this entire "series". I was actually interested in Garnet and his life and the goings on in that world, but it just abruptly ended with no resolution of any kind. It was basically a chapter in a book. I don't like the world *that* much that I'll read all the other books, but it was disappointing what a partial book this ended up being.
