Pretty solid! I can see why the internet is crazy about this one. I found Henry's backstory to be the most compelling part of the book. The prose was really pretty (sometimes to a fault) and the concepts were really interesting.

I think at a certain point it just started getting repetitive and dragged on for too long and I got tired of it. Definitely overstayed its welcome. But overall it was pretty good!

I have never seen the word "perhaps" so many times in a single book. Took about 33% of the way through to get to a point, then didn't find its pace again until the end.

I found the first half of the book incredibly boring, slow and sometimes repetitive. I had to force myself to keep reading bc the overall concept of the book was intriguing and I had to know how it ended. The second half of the book i actually enjoyed. I cried and felt things along with the characters. For the first half of the book, 2.75; for the second half of the book, 4. I know this is Addie’s story but would’ve liked more background on Luc. Although, that could probably be it’s own book.
