The Umibouzu arc is a total happy place for me, as it's explicitly about found family, and biological family accepting and supporting your choices. There is so much love for Kagura (first Gintoki letting her go, then Shinpachi climbing the whole Terminal to get her back, then Gintoki repeatedly throwing himself INSIDE AN ALIEN to save her), and Kagura loves her Yorozuya family so much in return - and she also loves her dad. It's SO SWEET and then there's disgusting alien bits and Baka-Ouji and Kagura's main motivator to survive being to get her sukonbu back so... Yeah. Perfectly Gintama. <3
I don't even know what to say about the Matsudaira thing I just. I laugh? But I don't know why because it's all ridiculous.
And of course: Hedoro! Amazing.
