I quite believe this book has changed me for the better and I recommend it to anyone trying to get in touch with themselves and exchange a personal politic of suffering, to one of hopeful joy and pleasure.
I went in expecting pleasure to be written about from a more abstract point of view, but Adri goes into pleasure in its plain and simple forms and at its philosophical core, i.e everything from hot sex to political movements and how pleasure gives us agency to move forward. Towards the end, she also talks about interdependence and her friendship model and it brought warmth to me in a way I haven't felt in awhile. Pleasure surely is the way forward.
