I wanna get through this series, because it seems to have been a pretty popular series for children in Denmark around the time that I was a child. However, it is from a pretty interesting writer, so there are a couple of weird points. There is a slur towards Native Americans that comes out of nowhere and has no reason to be here. And this book is not here to teach parents how to be a good parent, Vitello’s mother is a good mother just because she doesn’t quite hit him and does not fully make him feel like shit. If this is the way the rest of the series is, then the stories themself would be painfully average, while not having the best point behind them.
