I picked this up at an used bookstore years ago because I thought the title was interesting and the small poems reminded me of Rupi Kaur (who's poetry I had liked quite a bit at that time but since then I've fallen out of love with). Livesay's poetry is (in my opinion) far better than Kaur's with what she can do with just a few lines. You read and you think you understand but then you read again and it takes on a whole new meaning. This is one of my most treasured books on my shelf and will stay on my shelves for life.
