This was a super cute book. It’s told by a 10 year old. You learn alongside Bug what has happened in their life to cause them to be where they are now. Terms you learn about as you grow up in the 80s: homophobia, racism, transphobia. It does a great job of introducing to Bug what life in America unfortunately was and is. Definitely a YA I would recommend to 10+ students.
