The most contained and intimate story in the series so far.

These are so dark what do I read them ? Because they are written so well, the characters so well developed. This was so twisted I saw some of it early other parts, Woah ! I didn't even get a hint at that. Great suspense and mystery.

I realised why this has always been my favourite book; it's the dual time-line.
I love when I get to know the younger versions of my favourite characters.

This re-listen really reminds me why Karin is one of my favourite authors.

There's an armed standoff at the police station, with a number of people killed. In between these scenes, we travel back to the early days of Jeffrey and Sara's relationship. The juxtaposition of the two stories was well done, and I appreciated the insight into Jeffrey's background.
