I love Agatha Christie and Death On The Nile did not disappoint! Drama, mystery, jealousy, murder, even love, all in a unique and exotic setting — a perfect book to escape into. I really enjoyed this story overall, and my initial thoughts on who the murderer was ended up being partially correct, which is hard to do with Christie’s novels.
My only critiques are that I don’t think Christie utilized her surroundings of Egypt enough. It’s such an interesting country with a wealth of history and culture that could’ve been leaned into a bit more. Also, I felt there were just one too many characters. I really had a hard time remembering who some secondary characters were, like Miss Bowers, Cornelia Robson, Rosalie Otterbourne, and Jim Fanthorp (I even had to look them up while writing this because I couldn’t keep them straight).
4.5/5 stars.

My first Agatha Christie and what a treat it was! It’s no surprise she is considered the Queen of Crime.
Kept me guessing until the very end with a crisp, concise and logical wrap up.

Did my annual reread of DEATH ON THE NILE, my favorite Agatha Christie book.
Death on the Nile has it all, diverse characters, exotic locale and Agatha Christie's famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. Christie combines intrigue, romance and mystery during a luxurious cruise through Egypt in a classic whodunit? tale that does not disappoint.

A very entertaining mystery with a satisfying and surprising resolution. Kenneth Branagh is a marvellous narrator. He gave the characters clear and distinguishable voices and brought them all vividly to life. Highly recommend the audible audio version!
