Such a fun read!

I fell in love with the pucked series that Helena has written prior to this book. Her hockey men are all so amazing. And this standalone is such a great addition to that same fictional hockey world. The thing about this book that I loved most of all is the amazing characters. Main and minor ones; I was hooked on all of them right away - as always actually when it comes to Helena Hunting's stories, writing, and characters. Special mention of Ethan; he's such a loveable male lead who's responsible for the fact that my heart was doing some funny things in my chest while reading this book. *Le sigh.

I'm really hoping there'll be more books in this world, whether it's a new book in the Pucked series or being written as a standalone but in the same 'world', like this one. There were some minor characters present - like Carmen and dr. Lovely - I'd looove to read a full-length novel on for example! *I'm such a greedy one, I know... hihi

If you're into sports romance - hockey in particular - and like a second-chance-romance trope as well, the good luck charm is definitely a book I'd recommend! Actually; It's Helena Hunting, so knowing she's written it is reason enough to recommend the book haha. Love her writing!

There is nothing bad about this. There is also nothing that really connected to me. At around the 40% mark I found myself asking if I had any strong feels for any of the characters and kept asking that up until the end. For me, if a character isn't "likable" (whatever the given value of that is) they have to be strongly motivated. I can hate a character and enjoy the read if I understand who they are and what drives them. I got neither from this pair which meant that even the competent writing and spicy sex were rendered uninteresting.

Meh. Not my favorite by this author that's for sure. Still an auto buy author for me though.

I took a short break from the Christmas reads with this one, and it was definitely a cute, heartwarming story
