This series keeps getting better with each new story. In this one, we finally find out who the traitor is and it was not who I was expecting so I loved the surprise. I really enjoyed the Nightmare King and the battle between Nick and Nero.
I can't wait for the Dragon King story next.

2020 Book Nerd Your Way... Book #25.
Did not fit an available challenge topic for the EBN.
This was pretty good. I loved the way Heather combined humor, drama, love, and terror with a wonderful balance. The end was rough, but one that you can actually see coming. Can't wait to move on to the next book!

You know those authors that just pull you in every time?
Heather never fails to be one of those authors for me. The kings series has never disappointed, as a matter of fact they get better with each book. Heather is an author that has that magical ability to capture your attention from the start and keep you there until the book is over and you waiting impatiently for the next book. Stocking Facebook for update and count downs until the next release. As usual I have devoured The Nightmare King and cannot wait for The Dragon Kind this fall!

Really enjoyed it. Cant wait to see how the ending will effect the other characters. I though the authors note at the end was well said and much needed as the events of the book reminded me that not reaching out can be devestating and can snow ball into something worse.
