This gets four stars for the ending alone. Instead of the usual ending stories like these have where the cops burst in at the last second to save a victim, the victim rescued themselves. It was such a great moment for Mattie as she went from a housewife whose husband is a complete jerk but refuses to acknowledge it to a woman who took control of the situation and saved herself and her unborn baby by any means necessary. The story was original and much like the other books so far in the Rizzoli and Isle series, I did not see the outcome coming. The author gives nothing away as she is unfolding the mystery and I was clueless as to who the murderers were. Once again very excited to continue this series.
