A comprehensive look at Eric's life and its highs and lows. Refreshing to see that he learned from his wild past and reckless ways.

For the amount of things that happened to him I did not feel an ounce of sympathy.
The writing was boring, as were a lot of the details - pretty much just him explaining tour after tour and how many women he slept with.
It didn't feel like Clapton but a lot of heart or emotion into his story.

I wish I could give this one three and a half. When I first started this, my main thought was, "why didn't he get a ghost writer?". However, not only did the writing bother me less and less as I went on, the passages where he talks about music are actually quite beautiful.

This was a great read. It's not the most incredible writing, but it seems like it is full of honest self-reflection. His journey through drugs and alcohol is eye-opening. As a side note; between this book and the Robert Plant biography, I'm gaining a new appreciation for folk and blues.

pretty funny or really depressive, seriously. Even thought he used to be a big asshole, I cannot even hate him for that cause you know what they say ... "Clapton is God"
