This essay-style memoir was hilarious, fascinating, and definitely changed my perspectives on how we handle death in modern society. HIGHLY recommend this for just about anyone, Caitlin's writing style is great and the historical and research aspect of her work is really interesting.

I sometime struggle with non fiction that gets too "science-y" and technical, or very over factual. I appreciate that this is almost a biography feel, drawing on the authors actual experiences and sprinkling in facts about death the the mortuary business. I found a lot of the information very interesting, some things shocked me a little, and even found some parts funny. Overall a very enjoyable non-fiction journey that definitely has me thinking more about my own mortality.
