I didn't really read this, just skimmed through, but this is a gorgeous book! Beautiful illustrations and infographics accompany a variety of night-related topics including astronomy, ecosystems and nocturnal animals, human sleep patterns historically and geographically, folklore and religion, etc.

An interesting read with beautiful pictures. I learnt some fun new facts, such as Henry VIII banning pillows!

This is a wonderful documentary about the night. It explores every aspect of it. The sky, the stars, the planets, how they were discovered, how we walked on the moon. But also mythical creatures of the night, and what happens around the globe during night time, the nocturnal animals. And finally humans, how we behave, how we sleep, and why and how we celebrate the night.
The illustrations were great and the text very informative although sometimes it was written in very small characters and difficult to read.

This will definitely appeal to kids from 5 and above. I loved it and keep recommending it!
