I didn't know I needed this in my life. Volume 1 was great, but 2 was an absolute blast. I love Babs, her friends, the infinite love interests and -best of all- the refreshingly diverse world she lives in. Can't wait to read volume 3.

Still love the art by Babs Tarr, but not quite as fast, fun, or focused as the previous collection.

Although enjoyable, this volume definitely does not live up to the first one. (review of Batgirl, Vol.1 over here).

The graphics are still very beautiful and great to look at (this is important especially in comparison with the graphics of volume 3, which I'm not so crazy about). And I also kept having lots and lots of fun with the characters, their attitude(at least that of most of them) and the entire setting and the look of the book.

However, the biggest let down for me were the villains. I thought the majority of them were pretty weak and they did not really interest me, nor did they make me feel like they are an actual threat. There was not even some spectacular culmination to the volume. What exactly is bothersome about a lady who has two tigers and makes them attack people. Sure, death is death, but in the superhero world, that is very unremarkable.

I still like Batgirl as a character very much and will continue the series, I'm not disheartened! Among the others, I think Dinah's presence could have been nice. I have issues with Frankie, she is very pushy and she has no respect for Barbara's wishes. Superhero-wanna-be sidekicks are a thing, but very few that I have read about so far have been this obsessed with it and this insistent when their superhero friend is clearly against it.

Overall, I hope we'll see some fresh faces in the next volume and some more serious villains. The story about Barbara's nightmares is shaping up nicely enough so far.

Liked this one a bit more then vol 1 and was presently surprised by the Steven Universe cameos. I liked that there was a decent amount of representation across the board but would like to see a villain arc that lasted longer then what we've gotten so far.

I mean, I probably wasn't going to enjoy this too much because I didn't like the preceding Batgirl Volume (but an extra star for not making me consider sending it back to the library early), but I was really curious about the crossover with the Jim Gordon Batman. Other reviewers say that this change in Batgirl was to draw in more teenage girls. However, things like the really gratuitous ass shot of Barbara changing into her costume in the first issue make me wonder what made Cameron Stewart and Brenden Fletcher the men DC felt most qualified to write for teenage girls. Like the previous volume, most characters come off as immature and empty-headed as they duel with a completely forgettable cast of villains. The Jim Gordon stuff I was looking forward to took up two issues of the trade. I think two more are for a crossover plot where Barbara Gordon teams up with Huntress, Batwoman, Spoiler, and (unbeknownst to Barbara) Nightwing to take out some terrorist. Another issue goes to a forgettable tiger themed villainess  whose main purpose seems to be to pull one civilian love interest out of Barbara Gordons's large dating pool and introduce readers to Barbara's old roommate's fiance. The final issue is former roommate's wedding, but it's really about Batgirl's ex-squeeze Dick Grayson revealing he isn't dead.

I read all of these as individual issues, but I always try to use the TP rather than the comics, because that doesn't seem fair to my reading challenge!
