Who knew popular romance novels could be popular for a reason? I'm in love with Olive and her friends, and the rest of the cast is well written too. The contrivances to keep the main characters apart and confused were a little offputting at times, but I imagine that's just par for the course in the genre.

Such a pleasant read that the ANTAGONIST scene caught me very off guard. Glad it was just the one and certainly worked for the plot, but felt like it came from a different novel. Maybe I'm over sensitive about this stuff, but the stomach-turning overt harrassment significantly dampened my enjoyment of the earlier flirtacious humor about the same.

I have a new favorite book boyfriend now. His name is Adam. This was such a cute story. I loved the way they talked about science in here, but made it entertaining and fun to read about. Adam and Olive's banter was so cute and I laughed out loud so many times reading this. I'll definitely be reading more from this author.

Some annoying repetition (we get it.. Adam is tall) and lots of miscommunication between the main characters which could have saved a hundred pages and cringe worthy moments, BUT it was a fun, easy read.

It's been a while since I've read a romance novel where I wanted to kick my feet and scream in delight. But this one did it.

I've read this in one sitting - only stopping to have dinner - and that should tell you everything. How lovely and easy the writing is, how loveable the characters are and how captivating this story was, even though it follows the fake dating trope to the tee.

Because you know, you KNOW that they will catch real feelings, that they won't tell each other and that there will be a whole lot of miscommunication and misunderstandings surrounding them, but in the end everything always comes together. Is it the same as every other fake dating story? In a way yes, but also entirely different.

You should read it and see for yourself. And then come screaming about it in my messages. Please.

This was my second - and I was sure was going to be my last - go at reading a cartoon cover, after the cringey train wreck of my first.

But I am very happy to be wrong. This was charming.

Good characters and predictable in a cosy HEA way that is perfect on a Friday night when you’re a bit exhausted. It made me smile.

A good reminder it’s the writing, not the genre
