I love the concept behind Love by Patricia Cornelius but I don't know if its potential has been fully realised. I think I wanted more passion rather than shock factor.

Love is the story of three people caught in a love triangle. There's Annie, Tanya and Lorenzo. Annie sits on both sides of the fence - attracted to women and men equally. She finds herself torn between loving Tanya and loving Lorenzo. Her bond with Tanya is like no other, the support system strong. But with Lorenzo she can have a life of marriage and kids. The question is does she stick with the conventional or go with the unconventional?

For an actor there are some really powerful monologues and two person scenes in this play. Great material for auditions. The way the story unfolds is actually quite unsettling and frustrating and I believe this may have been Patricia Cornelius' intention, having the audience squirm and at some points want to slap some sense into the frivolous Annie.

It's the kind of play I would love to see performed one day, but not one I would enjoy performing myself.
