It was alright however I feel like it should have been the story of hook and Rafal. I would have liked it more if it followed how Rhian and Rafael actually became immortal and became the school masters.

This was the perfect prequel to one of my favorite series if all time!! I love all the explanations of the origins of things that happened in the original series like the Doom Room and Circus of Talents. I also love getting a glimpse into both Rafal and Rhain's past and dynamic. Rafal was one of my favorite characts in SGE and it was awesome to see him before everything went crashing down. The book kept me on my toes and I am so excited to pick up the Fall of the School for Good and Evil!!!

This sets up the series very well. I like the brothers relationship and how they nagivatee the balance of good and evil.

SO SO GOOD, the twist was amazing and I cannot believe that we learned so much about Rhian and Rafal’s backstory!! I’m excited to see how this will turn out for them and how things change between this book and the first book of The School for Good and Evil.

Wow! Once Rafal was revealed in the original SGE books, I just thought he was downright evil and horrendous but this prequel...wow...I dare say I like Rafal quite a bit and I'm curious to see just how blurred the lines of good and evil can get.
