Review:

This book want one of my favourites I’ve read this month.

The book follows the story of the fmc thea and the mmc Logan. Logan and Thea had a one night stand 6 years ago, but when Logan is in town for buisness he happens to bump into Thea and discovers he’s now a dad to 6 year old Charlie. This characters in this book were okay, they weren’t anything special and I didn’t get to them in the way i do with other books . At time I found Logan’s character to be really condescending with the way he expected Thea to pick up hers and Charlie’s life and move for him.

I wasn’t keen on the atmosphere of this book, the book in my opinion should have been about Logan , Thea and Charlie getting to know each other. Instead the book felt more like Logan was constantly trying to convince Thea to move across the country to they can be closer to work. This was an insta love romance and felt extremely rushed. I would have like to see love bonding time between Charlie and Logan, and then maybe the scene where she called him dad would have made more of an emotional impact.

I also didn’t like the relationships in this book and felt like the male characters in this book were very controlling. Logan and Jackson, both thought they could treat Thea as they wanted and do what they thought was best for her, without listening to her opinions.

Over all this book was okay to read , however personally I wouldn’t read it again and I’m not rushing to read book 2 in the series. I gave it a 3 stars

I went into this one completely blind and I am so glad that I did.
From the very first chapter I knew I was going to love this book.
First and foremost, the narrator was phenomenal, she did all of the voices so well.

Logan was pissssssing me off so bad with how he was slightly forcing Thea to move to New York, he just wouldn't take no for an answer even though it was clear that she didn't want to do that but besides that detail he is an amazing father and it was pulling my heart strings for sure.
I absolutely loved Charlie, she is such an incredible 5-6 year old, so smart and kind hearted.
Thea is an incredible mom, from her upbringing to the accidental pregnancy she kept it together and made a life for her and her family.
She teaches you that you do not need to be blood related to have family.

I immediately started listening to the next book in the series and i'm very excited to hear about Jackson and Willa's story.

For someone who would avoid secret baby/any pregnancy related trope like the plague I’m so happy I kept going with this one. Silly wholesome little light hearted (ish?) book that made me smile and giggle a lot this past week :)

I liked this book a lot, it started out super strong for me and then kinda fell off. The FMC just grated me the wrong way around the half way mark. I get it, she needed to do something for herself and her daughter and put them first. I get this 1000% but she was just so shut off about the idea of ever going back to NYC and was so adamant that it could never work that it ruined the story for me. The MC gave up everything for her and they spun it so he still got what he wanted (yay for books) but I feel like he just gave up so much after not even knowing about their child and then had to give up everything else. I feel like they made us not like his sister or parents just so we could be okay with the big move.

I did love their daughter tho, she was sweet and cute and acted appropriately for her age. Honestly I really did like the book as a whole. The FMC somewhat irked me but overall great book!
