This is the story of two women, in two different times, but how each have a hand in changing and helping each other. I bought this book a while ago and picked it up recently, going into it with little memory about what it was about, which I like. I enjoyed this book, how it jumped back and fore, from one time and one character to the next, all about The Letter. I got annoyed at parts because of how many things had to go wrong for the things to happen. Poor Chrissy. But in the end it was a good book and I did enjoy it.

I don’t normally write reviews but I feel like with this book having so many 4/5 stars I need to justify my rating. I was so disappointed by this book. Reading the reviews I was expecting to be blown away by a dual timeline, heart wrenching story on a par with something Kate Morton or Lucinda Riley would write but this just fell so short. The writing style was basic, almost lazy and the characters totally lacked depth and felt one dimensional. The concept was great; it gave me Long Lost Family vibes and the author could have done so much with it.
Also...why did all the characters touch other characters lips to ‘shush’ them? I don’t think I’ve EVER done that to anyone...and I’ve been married 13 years

Many different things going on...
And yet it was all pretty predictable. It was a quick read, and the story was nice, but the dialog often felt stilted and unrealistic. Also, all the characters seemed to possess the same voice, regardless of age, gender, or background. And I have to confess, as soon as I read the letter in the beginning, I knew how it would end... still, overall an ok read

Tegelikult ongi lõpuks tegemist lihtsalt klassikalise armastuslooga, kus juhuslikud kohtumised viivad suure armastuseni. Päevane romantikdoos on igal juhul käes !
