An enjoyable story, I wish it had been one of the longer ones in the series, as I'd have liked to see more of the characters.

I really liked this novella. I liked Dakota. I liked Viktor. And I really liked Hestia. The banter is witty. The story is fast paced, but not whirlwind. And the plot twist! Oh man the plot twist!

Again, same world ... not connected. I like my series to have continuity, but I'm open to world building and character introductions. I'm hoping there will be interlap eventually.

Since this is such a super short book, there's not a lot of character building. Dakota is a single mom, paying child support to her VERY rich ex for her son she's not allowed to see, and raising a 2-yr old goddess who looks full grown. She works as a mechanic, and an associate of her ex has found her.

Headed to Vegas to escape her Ex for a bit, causes a bit of drama. She's introduced to Viktor from the CDC, who helps to remove spells her ex cast on her...and plotting her ex's demise.

I enjoyed this one for what it was.
