Some comics have too little plot and take their bloody time to try and spread that threadbare idea as thinly as possible. This? This feels like a twenty issue series that for some maddening reason has been compressed into four issues. And it’s just not capable of carrying the load… the narrative feels compressed and confusing, we don’t care who anyone is and stuff keeps on happening even though we don’t really understand why

The most frustrating thing is that it’s beautifully drawn and has some really nice ideas. It feels like a promising idea that the writer panics with and decides to stuff it into a space that it doesn’t really fit into. A very odd decision which spoils a lot of promise
