If you like Bukowski and/or R Crumb, then you'll love this collaboration. As soeone who can do without either, I thought this was...an accurate portrayal of both their work. Mid-20th century male gaze trying to suss out women, unsucessfully.

One of my favorite Xmas presents in a year where I got 9 Bukowski titles!

I love the song Bukowski by Modest Mouse so I thought I should probably try this "pretty good read" by "such an asshole." Indeed, it made my skin crawl, so I gave it two stars for being good enough to do that. Loathsome men, sad, powerless women. Ugh.
Probably not the book, or the writer, for me.

It reads like a cheeseburger; it was quick, stuffing, and useless.
There were words, there were some funny lines, there was a full stop.
The writting ends.
The story too.
I forget.
