I enjoyed the book. I was already familiar with most of the material, but I did pick up two new ideas that I'm grateful for:
- The idea of "leaning in to" a change. Freston says that sometimes change takes time, that you need to roll a concept around in your head for a while before you're ready to act on it. This made a great deal of sense to me, and in retrospect I realize that it describes how I accomplished my more successful lifestyle changes.
- Balancing the "Four Rs": Regular (maintenance stuff), Relate (interpersonal relationships), Rejuvenate, Reach (self-improvement). She suggests that people need to make sure they're expending energy on each one to keep their lives in balance.

And I found two referenced works that I intend to hunt down and read:
- The Earth House by Jeanne DuPrau
- "The Comparative Anatomy of Eating" by Milton Mills

And she lists a lot of tasty-looking healthy recipes!
