Tato kniha, pro mě byla prvním setkáním s tvorbou J. Deavera a musím říct, že mě velice překvapila. Když jsem ji brala do rukou, předpokládala jsem, že se jedná spíše o detektivku s prvky thrilleru. Ale ať už jsem čekala cokoli, tohle bylo naprosto něco jiného. Jízda od začátku až do konce, plná zvratů a boje o přežití. A neskutečně mi to sedlo. I když jsem spíš na klasické detektivky a po thrillerech sáhnu spíše výjimečně, tak pokud se i další z Deaverových knih ponesou v tomto duchu, přečtu si je moc ráda.

This was really great read!! The cat andouse of it kept me captivated to see what would happen next. The book started, and stated, exciting, until the last 30 pages. Then it seemed to wind down, and change direction towards the Deputy's personal life. Perhaps it made her more of a relatable person, but I didn't feel it really added to the story in any way. But I still highly recommend reading it!!

I had every intention to give this book 4 stars, right up until the end. Very disappointed. It just sort of fizzles out, but the first 4/5 of the book were great.

I'm sorry, but when I'm saying to a character very early in the book, "Oh no, you didn't!", it already puts the book in a bad light for me. The main character was stupid and did not receive the proper repremand she deserved for things she did. I like Jeffery Deaver, but for the huge plot flaws, I couldn't even give him 3 stars. I was very disappointed, and I don't comment very often about the books I read.

Well that book was a world wind of adventure am not even sure what to make of it right now, apart from that massive change of events I was totally not expecting to happen like it did. I honestly believed something else was going to occur but it didn't, the end was lovely
