I almost dropped this book because I found Kelly's character very annoying to read. The back and forth from the whiny to spitfire character was very jarring and irritating. She becomes a little more tolerable very, very slowly. I wish there was more to her growth, more than anything, not just a couple lines of dialogue, especially when it came to her father. One of the big issues Kelly struggles with throughout the book is wanting freedom and a choice to be herself, but whenever someone wrongs her she's just kinda like "it's ok. I'm famous, this is normal. I don't care haha." Like no girl, stick up for yourself. I'm kinda glad to be done with the book because I was very tired of Kelly.
I read Make-Believe Match before this, and loved Xander in that one, and was really excited to read this one, but was left kinda feeling let down. There felt like little holes missing here and there, but the epilogue was cute.
I think the book is labeled as a forced proximity. Kinda a stretch in my opinion, but sure. Go off.
