As wonderful as the first. Not as satisfying an ending, but as this is the second book in the trilogy, I didn't really expect much conclusion. I already felt the world was so deep and rich at the end of book one, but this took it even deeper, and I learned more of the history, and more hints of understanding about the magic, etc.
Anxious to start book 3 right away. I love that all the characters are interesting - not just one or two main ones. They are all well developed and important.

oh slow slower crawling. the problem might be I'm reading them all at once. I like Fitz but he has way too much YA stupid in him. Nighteye is smarter

Typical second book of a trilogy as things go badly for the good side.

I’ll give this one 3.5 stars - unlike the first book, I struggled to stay engaged with the story for about the first half. (that ending though!!!) I wasn’t a huge fan of the Molly and Celerity story lines (I’m sure they will play a big part later). this one falls into middle book syndrome for me.
