Virtuous orphan barmaid "saves" alcoholic rake. Not my thing. It was too syrupy sweet to be believable and nothing resolves at the end. He still drinks because his parents are disappointed in him, but now his parents disapprove his marrying a bar maid. (That's basically what she is, her parents' professions are never mentioned just that she was raised in a pub by the owner after her parents died).
