I liked the characters. I liked the plot. I always love friends to lovers and this served. It was a pretty easy read but some scenes just contradicted what the writer had been going on about from the start.

Hutton was the shy billionaire who doesn’t like people or social events and the only person who he likes or can tolerate is Felicity. I liked how they had such a strong friendship and the code language they used to communicate with each other, so cute!! But what I really wanted to see was Hutton’s character development, at least to a point where he could admit his feelings to Felicity but it wasn’t until the last few pages when he almost lost her that he realised that he should take action and get out of his shy self.

Also I didn’t like how the whole fake dating charade was gonna blow up at the end just because the writer wanted something huge to finish off the book. It just seemed so unnecessary, although I did enjoy how Felicity took Mimi down a notch and stood up for herself. Other than that I loved the whole friends-to-lovers trope.

I have basically nothing to say about this. It was one of the most typical romances I’ve ever read from the plot to the pacing to the spice and the relationship. I liked the friends to lovers aspect and I liked the small town. I thought the third act breakup/miscommunication went on for far too long and the ending was kind of rushed. So yeah not bad by any means but also not something special.
