This book wasn't really what I thought it was going to be (that's probably on me), and at almost halfway through, the plot described in the blurb hadn't begun yet. Maybe I'll come back to this one day but not for me at the moment.

This was not a happy book... Very heavy themes were covered and I am not sure they added to the story at times. The story moves along and is interesting, but the characters feel like twisted charicatures at times and the situations described are dark and unsettling. There were some twists but most were forecasted fairly obviously. I did enjoy it somewhat, but the graphic content and themes felt unnecessary in their description and amount.
