AMAZING
I will protect Skye with my life, but honestly don't think she needs my protection. Omgosh, I love this book so much! all of the K-pop and BTS references just gave me life <3. To see Skye basically say "Yeah I'm fat. What of it?" gosh I love her and then Imani, as a black girl who loves K-pop, the words she said....OMGOSH, just speaking FACTS <333
Lana and Tiffany <333 I love these girls. I love this book!

loved loved loved loved loved this book!
learnt so much about Korean culture, plus this book’s filled with body positivity, well-written LGBTQ+ characters, friendship and cutesy romance, while also having a competitive element and tackling discrimination, fat phobia, homophobia and an abusive household.
definitely recommend this read, but this book may trigger some people, but I believe I’ve mentioned all of those triggers.

I didn't love the narrator. In fact I found them pretty irritating.

I’ve had this sitting on my to read shelf for a while. It’s one of the first books I bought when I was getting back in to reading and it was all because the model on the cover has posted a TikTok about it and the opportunity to depict a plus size K-pop performer.
This isn’t my first read by Lyla Lee and I wish I had actually read this sooner. I loved the fat representation and how Skye is so unapologetic about her fatness.
My only real negative was the Harry Potter references :/

I looved this! It's so cute and very empowering. The representation and body positivity was fantastic. Two bisexual teens owning their sexuality and just simply being was so great. Lana and Tiffany are my favourite side characters, they're so supportive and literally the cutest couple.
I loved the competition setting and the Kpop references. Skye was such a great main character. She was confident and doesn't let people stop her, instead she proves them wrong.
