I find it difficult to give a "rating" to a book about real-life events that involve the death(s) of human beings. So I won't. I will say that while Rebecca definitely had some issues, I DO NOT think Rebecca committed suicide. Her injuries don't line up with a hanging. She was murdered, but by who? The case is still unsolved, and I hope the truth is uncovered, but I don't think I have enough information to make a definitive accusation of guilt.

I went into this with the back-knowledge of what I'd heard about this case when it first broke. I found it interesting (and it didn't make sense) then, and I can't say I walk away from this book with more knowledge than I had then. But that is absolutely not Caitlin Rother's fault. She solidly researched and she gave is as many perspectives as possible and each time I had a question, she quickly answered it - despite that not actually clarifying the... ... ... situation.
If you like true crime, and enjoy working through the case, learning about all the major players and reaching your own conclusion - this book is it.
