This was such an easy book to love. The characters are cute and the story was sweet. There was even a little bit of a mystery built in pertaining to the tree farm’s ongoing string of bad luck. And I loved how that was resolved!

Talking briefly about the spicy scenes in the spoiler below. No actual spoilers.

SpoilerThe sex scenes were written so sensually. I think they were the most tastefully romantic things I’ve ever read or listened to. No vulgar descriptive words required to convey the tension, passion, romance, and  sex between characters.

The writing is quite nice, and the story was reasonably enjoyable. However I was looking for a light, feel-good holiday romance, and was surprised at the serious tone of the book. There were light moments, but a lot of time was spent on Estelle and Luka's grief about their respective parents' deaths (her mother, his father). I feel like this bogged down the story. It's not that it was bad, but it's not what I was looking for. I enjoyed the mystery aspect of the sabotage on the farm, and the influencer's visit was enjoyable as well. I also enjoyed the side characters, especially Beckett and Layla. I liked the conclusion of the story, especially regarding the farm's financial woes. If you're looking for a Christmas story with some serious themes, this would work for you. The spicy scenes were alright as well, I'd say this is a medium-high heat book.

This book was so cute, I love the progression of Luca and Stella’s relationship. The plot had lots of different turns, and I really enjoyed this rate, definitely an adorable Christmas Reid and I will be reading the next few books in the series. This book is sexy, cute & hits your feels in all the right spot.

A very sweet, steamy, small town romance featuring a friends to lovers relationship. The way this man was a complete simp for Stella 😌

If you adore a friends to lovers romance, small town setting, “he falls first” with the most cozy vibes— definitely pick this up!

For maximum coziness, pick this up during the fall/winter💛

There’s pretty much no diversity in the book, and the cops are helpful “good guys” (lol) so this holiday story is as white as an actual Hallmark movie. That said, the spicy aspects of the book are really comfortable and cozy, which isn’t something you find too often. Tropes include
Spoilerfriends to lovers, found family, and a good dose of not sharing their feelings
. So if you’re looking for something easy and are willing to overlook the lack of diversity, it’s actually a pretty cute romance.
