My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: This book was one that I just had a hard time getting into. The beginning bored me and the story dragged. I just couldn't get into the characters and the plot.
However, having said that the novel did pull out a three star review. I thought that the novel was unique and original. It had potential to be a great book, but it just didn't click for me.
I thought that the main character was just not one who did it for me.
Major Strengths: Originality and uniqueness.
Major Weaknesses: The story dragged for me and I just had a hard time connecting with it.
So why 3 stars? While I didn't enjoy several parts of the novel, it was intriguing enough. I thought that the novel had potential. It just didn't quite live up to it.
Warnings/Side-notes: 17+. Sexual references, swearing, and drinking.
The Wrap-up: Like I've said, it didn't click for me. However, it's been awhile since I've read paranormal, so maybe that's why. Most people seem to like it, so if you like paranormal NA romance, you might enjoy this. It just didn't quite work for me.

I was a little disappointed in this book. This book had a boring beginning for me and I was a little lost in this book. I did not related to the characters and overall was just sad I didn't more out of it. * I received this book from LibraryThing giveaway in exchange for an honest review*

I don't usually read romance novels and have not read one in years. Therefore, I was surprised, to say the least,upon reading the "love" scenes in Clearer in the Night. It is not your Grandmother's romance novel and it seems like sex was at least a fourth of the book. The story started out interesting and the story idea is good but there was a lot of distraction from that story line for me with the repetition of certain words (eg.: smirk) and phrases. Also the book ended with several questions unanswered that I felt would have added much to the story. Just not my cup of tea.

There were some slow parts for me, but when it did pull me in, I was intrigued. It's certainly not your typical paranormal read, which was a welcome for me. The main character is strong, despite her flaws, and there's enough mystery in the plot to keep you guessing until the end.

Pretty cool story with lots of twists and crazy stuff happening. I was definitely intrigued from the beginning, and I read with interest throughout. The author writes sex scenes very well, and the description was good overall. I was confused in a couple sections but in general I liked the story and would read it again.
