A fast-paced, quick read. Unique in many aspects, bringing a new perspective to a tried-and-true kidnapping story.

Killian is such a strong female character. I love her and am grateful this is a series. This book made for a promising foundation for the series. More thoughts to come.

I received a gifted copy.

The mystery element didn't really work for me, given
we find out who the culprit is quite early on
. The switching POV also broke the tension about what was happening during the hunt for the kidnapper. Some of the details about the biker culture were interesting. The character backstory was pretty solid; I just didn't connect with the characters and so it was hard to get invested in the outcomes for each of them.

Well, that was entertaining. Badass chic, Sons of Anarchy-esque, family drama, action packed.

This book introduces us to Killian Delaney who has just been paroled after spending time in prison for assaulting the man who killed her boyfriend. The man kidnaps her niece for revenge but it doesn't work out like he'd planned. I have loved everything Kate Kessler has written and I wasn't disappointed with this start of her new series either. Im about to dive into the second book now.
