I picked this up after reading some extracts from nin’s letters and was disappointed. I had expected beauty language and elements of the gothic and was met with nothing but pure erotica, not at all my thing.

Only read the first one but it's so boring. ''He wanted to touch her with the tip off his sex'' what the fuck kind of sentence is this. She also writes like a third grader. ''He was standing at a bar'', ''the tips of her breasts were pink like of a young girl''. Just badly written and not erotic at all. 1 star.

写于上世纪四十年代的情色小短篇（乍一看标题以为是毛姆节选），对于各种fantasy的探索今天看起来也完全不过时。女主人公们从不同人或场景（或者气味）那里获得新鲜感（进而转化成激情）的情节很有《艾曼妞》那种画面感。有肉香。
