What a great story! This one will keep you guessing until the very end. You never know who is telling the truth. It is a single POV, dual timeline story. The story is either in the present or 2 years in the past when her husband died. I like dual timeline books so this was great.

It was quite thrilling and I was engaged throughout the book. But the ending was so blah. Author tried too hard to point the finger at the second husband. then tried too hard to 180 outta there, making wide stretches to cover it up. Still does not explain why Tom is a creepy stalker and lies to his wife.

Was going to give this three stars because it's not terrible, just average. Then that final chapter with them confessing to each other and talking through things. Just stick a poker in my eye. The dialogue in this novel is so cringy.

I kept reading this but as comedy - I know that is so mean. But it’s true.
