read it in exactly 1 month! i loved this shit so much. i loved how complicated and hard to follow everything was. it's everything i love about a fantasy novel. i love getting angry with the protagonist and i love hating and then forgiving every single character (except the knight fuck the knight). i really don't even know what to say and i don't know how i'm gonna read another fantasy now that i have this to compare. i might be a little dramatic but i loved it so much and i loved this world and i loved learning that ANNOTATION IS NO FUN I JUST NEED TO ENJOY THE STORY!! and now i have to study like i didnt just finish one of the best and weirdest novels ever. i cannot wait to buy the full series

This is a great book! It is a little slow at the start but after that i enjoyed it! I think that the way the magic is described is different from most of the fantasy books that I've read. There isn't a lot of action but the schemes in the court are interesting. I will absolutely read the second book.

2.5 stars maybe? 2? Idk what to say about this book... I appreciated the whimsical setting but as a character driven reader, this was tough to get through. Every single one of the characters is flat, boring, annoying and/or sexist. It's like there was zero effort to try to make actually good, interesting, compelling characters. The MC is literally sick during the whole story and has the personality of a handkerchief. (Her scarf was the best character in the entire book lmao). The only thing I'll give her credit for is not falling for the main guy, but I guess it's clear that will happen as the series moves forward.

Eu achei um pouco difícil a visualização das características dos personagens, me senti várias vezes viajando e não acompanhando a história. Tem potencial, provável que continue o próximo livro, só não estou ansiosa, é algo que parece legal, mas não sinto ser essencial.
