this is was fun, the first 40ish % was def a bit gory, but I don’t mind that too much. Then it got more into a rom com vibe & then the end turned into a spicy romance. Had a little bit of everything I was really into it. one thing that would’ve maybe added a bit was if there was some mystery or psychological aspect. Overall a fun read on Halloween

I freaking loved this book! Think a mix of Dexter and Mr & Mrs Smith, with a surprisingly sweet mmc (Carmine from The Bear, but make him a funny, extroverted, murdery Irishman) and an emotionally distant fmc and you’ve just scratched the surface. Yes , there were some plot holes and some unanswered questions, but I’m thinking some of that will be filled in with the next books. This book has a HEA and the other books in the trilogy will be about the other two Kane Brothers. I’m a new fan and can’t wait to check out Brynne’s other books!

I enjoyed this one but won't say I love it. I could note feel their relationship evolve in the 4 years they spent together. It was too fast for me, but overall I liked it!
