This sequel I felt was done much better then the first. We get not only again Izumi trying to figure out herself and her family and how she fits in, but also so much more character development and characters actually having more... character. That being said I would have given this book 5 stars that was until I got to the end.

Spoilers!

I loved how the romance was done in this book rather then the first, Eriku was such a well written and loveable character. Tht being said, I WANTED IZUMI TO END UP WITH HIM NOT AKIO!!!! Both in Tokyo Ever After and Dreaming Akio has all the likeablity and personality of a door. His character seems so wooden, stiff, and not flushed out at all. His main goal as a love intrest is to be moody, and tortured. While Eriku had so much character to him, I loved how Goofy and caring he was. But of course we have to go with the first live intrest who mind you: broke up with her, would not talk to her, then only came back and said he was wrong after he was sure her parents marriage was secure. If I were Izumi I would have blown up at him way more, but of course she is blinded by her burning flam for him that made me want to rip my hair out! Eriku was such a better option for her in so many ways and was even the case she was forgetting his familial obligations would still come knocking on his door eventually! Not to mention tabloids. For how much Izumi was trying to keep public opinion high and especially with all she has seen of other members of her family marrying or being with someone outside their circle and all the hate and mental struggles they go through SHE STILL CHOOSE SOMEONE WHO WILL GO THROUGH THE SAME THING NO MATTER HOW THEY CLAIM OTHERWISE!!!! At least with Eriku he was used to the light, with Izumi he could be himself even if he was in that light and ridicule.

Basically I am just very mad at the decision from this love triangle, the romance was so much better done until that moment and it made me so mad.

I really liked the continuation of Izumi's story. I think the ending was well done and liked how everything wrapped up.
