No thanks, I hated it.  Cringey romances, predictable plots, and yet unbelievable circumstances...

Spoiler review!

Overall setup: I enjoyed the ensemble of characters, and the pace of each chapter. Each vignette had a small beginning and end that culminated in varying leveld of twists.
Characters: You get a Match. How does each unique character react to the same situation, alongside a different character they were Matched with? How does it change them as people, and how does their propensity to lie affect others? None of the characters are moral agents, but in believable ways. How could I root for a character like Ellie? Ugh! But I did! Some characters are believably despicable - he wanted to showcase the harm that certain personalities can cause through the concept of Matching.

Plot overall: this is not a sci-fi dystopian novel as advertised. I was expecting something more like The Circle. But, it was delightfully focused on the intimate lives of others. I appreciated that he kept the theme connected to the smallness of our collective individualism.

Another near future page turner by John Marrs. There were a lot of characters which worried me at the start, but they each formed part of their own little story and didn't cross over so was easy enough to follow. Basically a book following a number of independent situations all stemming from the same start point of this dating app. Fun quick read.

This book is not what I thought it was going to be at all. The story was unique and makes you think of a DNA Matching service would truly be a service. I think at this end of the day, those who are truly open to love can find it with anyone.

omg i loved this sm. this book is honestly perfect. if you like diffrent povs, you will love this. the book follows 5 diffrent stories, and i likes how each story was unique and intresting, and the chapter sizes were perfect. also each person ending was unexpected. like i had to put the book down and say wtf out loud. not only does the ending tie the characters together, it also makes the reader think about the concept of love, and it turns into a moral battle. if u like thrillers and diffrent povs i 1000% recommend this. just check out a few content warnings!

I'm not usually into thrillers, but it did keep my attention well.
