I have been reading M/M romance for a while and this book filled the tropes I was looking for such as age gap, grump/sunshine and mutual pinning. I'm new to the author so I wasn't sure what to expect but the blurb got my attention.

This is a quick read. For those looking for a light read with some steamy moments and without major angst, this is it.

What i felt it was left missing was depth in the plot and more "show, don't tell". The potential of the book was buried under the lack of development in those aspects which makes it hard to also connect with the characters or care enough to enjoy the their love story.

Overall, the book is positive for those who don't mind not being plot heavy and development or those who need something quick to pass time. If you enjoy those, maybe you will feel a bit taken back and this isn't for you.

What a sweet and romantic novella.

I’ve been waiting for Mason’s story for what feels like forever (okay it’s probably only been a couple of months). I love when the big bad tough guys find love and get mushy. Seriously, if I had to choose only one trope, that would be it.

Mason is the head of his security company, an ex-military, tattooed badass, with a crush on his best friend's Nephew. Dax is a sweet and stubborn actor almost 20 years younger than him.
I love all the times that Mason gets growly over Dax. Though he’s determined the age difference is too big, and he doesn’t want to hold Dax back from his dreams, he can’t help but want to lose his mind over Dax dating someone else.

This non-romantic guy really knows how to say swoonyiest things.

So much love for this couple. 4.5 Stars

You can read this on its own, but I highly recommend reading book one because you get some background and build-up for their story and it’ll make this so much better. And hey, they’re both novellas so you can read them both in one night!
