UGH MY HEART. This was the perfect ending to the perfect series and I've been putting off my review because I just don't want it to be over.

This series made me fall in love with the cozy mystery genre and I can see myself doing rereads often because I love it so much. It has everything you would want in a cozy: a perfect town, the best leading lady, epic slow burn romance, twisty "who dunnits" that always kept me guessing, and a wonderful set of side characters who brought everything together.

Pleading the Fish brought us another great mystery with a murderer I didn't see coming until it was literally shoved into my face on a sliver platter. I had some inklings but never put the full thing together until the big reveal. I also loved how the Swan family history was woven in through out the story because it's always been a mystery of it's own as well and the pieces fell together in the best way.

Everly and Grady. My OTP. They're perfection. I love them. Grady is simply the best. So patient, caring, loving, protecting, and able to deal with Everly's crazy antics without forcing her to change who she is. He was so steadfast and seeing their story come fill circle made my heart want to burst with love.

The three epilogues at the end were the cherry on top and the best ending you could ask for.

I could obviously gush about this book and this series forever. If you love cozies or want to dip your toe into the genre this is hands down my favorite series and everyone needs to read it.
