I really enjoyed this book! It was a good read and the authors excellent writing style made up for the sometimes too-predictable storyline. At times ut also felt a bit…YA-ish. It read like a book that combined the Salem witch trials, lord of the flies, and handmaids tale. I was a bit disappointed about
Spoiler the storyline with Ryker, especially since Tierney was so against becoming a wife. Would have preferred her independent streak to remain, but then I guess the rest of the book wouldn’t have made sense :)

Overall enjoyable and would recommend!

A fascinating concept with excellent execution that had me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole story.

Wow wow wow wow wow. This is the best book I've read in a long time! It's handmaid's tale meets lord of the flies, (and maybe a little hunger games) and everything was so well thought out. Don't even get me started on the ending because I'll cry. Needless to say, you need to read this. This book was written for women everywhere who have felt like their voices haven't been heard. Check TWs!!

I definitely read this fast. It filled that desire for dystopian ya that’s been missing for years. The romance, surprises, reveals, and decisions made by characters were quick and explained with words… but actions/seeing it was missing for me.

About 78% of the way in I had to switch to a print version; the audio version was giving me whiplash and I couldn’t follow the story anymore. Overall, enjoyed the journey this book went for and rooted for the romance even though it didn’t fully make sense… but that ending?!
