Beautiful, beautiful story that broke my heart at the end. If I ever read Alice in wonderland again, I am on this queen’s side - 100% - because this whole book had be fuming at everyone except the main character & love interest. (Maybe Hatta slowly became a favourite too) but excellent book!!

Este libro te hace querer al personaje de Catherine de una forma en que entiendes su manera de actuar y en lo que se convierte. El final es genial, me encanta la manera en la que la autora ha podido hilar la historia para poder acabar con la frase típica de la reina de corazones "que le corten la cabeza" y darle al personaje de Catherine la oportunidad de poder llorar la muerte de Jest (a pesar de que ya sin su corazón, no va a poder hacerlo) .

I loved this book so much I managed to read it in only two days. By far the quickest read I’ve had. I didn’t realize that this book was the backstory of the Queen of Hearts. I loved this book but I cried so much. The connection of the painting of all the white roses in the movie is heart wrenching now I know the reason. I would totally read this book again and would most definitely cry again. This book was a lot like “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” where you are routing for the character and are let down. If you are prepared to have your heart broken this is the best book I’ve read for a while.

Slow start, felt rushed but the ending was nice. I got a little confused on some aspects towards the middle. It felt like they were throwing things at the reader and moving on to the next thing quickly. I wish the book was longer to better develop the world or the relationship between Cath and Jest and bit more and understand the universe they live in. Caths ending was amazing ngl, we love to see a badass women get revenge--i just wish there was more murder. Overall a solid book, but I wouldn't want to read it again nor would I recommend buying it, rent from a library or friend.

An emotional ride that delivers familiar stories in a twisted and bittersweet package. The ending was a shock to the system - I haven't read a book by Meyer in ages. I wasn't prepared, but maybe that's why it was so impossible and magical.
