Great for budding young entrepreneurs, or people who don't get what they want for their birthday. Includes: how to behave when you receive an unwanted gift, as well as how to get what you want without being a total jerk.

The end had me in tears, I loved it so much. Love a book that encourages staying in touch with nature! Plus it has a lemonade recipe inside!

When this young girl receives a lemon tree from her grandmother, she is not thrilled. She tries to give it away. But eventually, they nurture the tree. They host a lemonade stand and earn money to purchase other things. The little girl discovers how amazing one little tree can change her life and transform her neighborhood.

Parts were cute, I love plants, but this felt like a guide to teaching autistic children how to be inauthentic and prioritize the needs of others above themselves.

Not every gift a child ever receives has this great of intention, but I do like the idea that kids can choose to be grateful, choose to cultivate a gift into something bigger by putting in the work, and earning what they desire.

When a young girl doesn’t know why her grandma gives her a lemon tree for her birthday, it eventually becomes clear when she uses the lemons to make lemonade (literally) to make money so she can buy herself her own gifts, for herself and the community. A beautiful reminder that the greatest gifts we can give are the ones that keep on giving.
