Disclaimer that I didn’t read the first book, only the movies. I liked it so much I had to pick up the continuation

This sequel started out really promising; I felt it did a better job allowing the reader to get to know the characters (vs them all feeling like chess pieces in Dune). It lost me a little in the 2nd half--possibly because I was reading when I was really tired, but I had a hard time understanding how much of the future Paul had seen the reader was also supposed to have visibility to. I kept feeling like I had missed something.

Did I like this book? Ya, I guess. Did I not really like? Also, yes. Like what even happens? Everything and nothing.

There are weird holes and lack of some necessary description which happened in the first book as well.

Will I read the third? Probably. But honestly no idea about this book.
