I've read other books from Sarah and although there have been some structure issues in ones like The Rule Book, others have been pretty good, like the first book in this series. But this book was so toxic and triggering that I can't recommend it to anybody who wants to read about healthy relationships.

Ryan is incredibly abusive, constantly trapping June in situations that are embarrassing, withholding food from her, and literally forcing her to take a cold shower - all to get information from her that she doesn't want to give. I can't believe that some people think June is immature compared to him because she gets into comedic but embarrassing situations or she cries because he forces stories out of her that she isn't ready to share.

Also, this book is not enemies to lovers. It's friends ish and fake rivals to lovers, but with the bonus of his toxic masculinity and the "boys will be boys" mentality that it's okay for boys to be mean to girls in any way they see fit because "they like her."

Wild. Just wild. I think the voice actors did great but I'm amazed this is what they had to portray.

This book was so fun! I'm not usually one to laugh much in books/tv/movies but I did in this book! The relationship between June and Ryan was perfect. I loved how they truly went from enemies to lovers and not through an easy or fast route.

A day later I'm coming back to add that I can't get this book out of my head! Upping my rating from 4.5 to 5 Stars because I would totally read this book again!

I am looking forward to reading more from Adams.
