Good enough but really crappy dialogue and characters. I guess I continued reading the book though so it couldn't have been awful.

Neither good nor bad. Typical of the series. Comfortable the way an old pair of socks is comfortable before they get a hole in the toe.

The ongoing romances of the primary character become increasingly difficult to keep track of as the series progresses. He's always in love with someone, and it's always fraught with complications and danger. If the women in this series had any sense, they'd stay away from him as a way of sparing themselves death as well as heartache.

The mystery here lacks any significant tension, or, well, mystery.
As something to fill time when you cannot afford to be deeply immersed in a gripping story, this may serve the bill.

Finished the book a couple days ago and forgot to update haha. It was a good book! Spoiler alert: only reason I didn't give it perfect stars was because one of the main characters gets brutally murdered. Other than that, the action and story was great. Page-turner. And awesome characters.

Fast paced, action story. Felt like a roller coaster ride. Not a lot of mystery in the story but definitely felt like finishing up the book.

2...So disappointed! Two books ago we had a missing princess...now a princess's friend is missing. Last book was a suspicious suicide...why are these storylines in THIS novel...I couldn't even get into this novel!!!!

This book ended up being more about Jack’s need for revenge/vengeance than about wrapping the case. Lots of steps go wrong for Private London, leading to deadly results. We get glimpses of Jack and others insights throughout the book, but some of it felt 2D compared to other Private novels. I’d consider this one more of a thriller than a mystery, hence the two stars on my part.
